What can I hand off?
Anything that ends in words: a reply to draft, a thread to sum up, notes to turn into an email, a call to prepare for, a plan to think through. Genie hands back the finished piece for you to use.
How do I give Genie a task?
However suits the moment: forward an email to genie@genie.com.ai, copy Genie into a thread, or type it in chat at genie.com.ai. There is nothing to install and nothing to connect.
Will Genie email people on my behalf?
Not on the free plan. Genie replies only to you, with drafts you can send yourself. Genie Pro will send what you approve — and only what you approve, until you decide otherwise.
Can I ask it general questions?
In chat, yes. By email, Genie works on the message you forward or the thread you copy it into, so your inbox doesn’t fill up with answers you could have looked up.
What happens to what I hand over?
It is used to do the job you asked for, and it stays behind your account. Genie does not act on a thread unless you forward it or copy Genie in.
